Remember when you first started down your Witchy path? If you've become disillusioned because you've lost one too many battles in the anti-defamation and misinformation league, remember the enthusiasm you once had. Getting in touch with your original fiery spirit may keep motivated to change misconceptions about the Craft.
With the wisdom you've gained over the years, you now know that there is a time to fight, and a time to share your experiences on a beautiful spiritual path. Avoiding being overly defensive about our Craft is a test we've all been through at one time or another. Wearing our "Witchy Clothes" to the local fundamentalist Christian church may have been a hoot, but didn't change anyone's perceptions of the Craft, and in fact may have reinforced their fears. But consider again letting someone know that you are a Witch. This doesn't mean coming out of the Broom Closet necessarily, what I'm saying is perhaps by letting just one person know that you (a wonderful, honorable, resourceful, wise person) are a Witch, you might change some of the negative ideas people have about us. Just a thought....
