Blessed Equinox to You!

For Pagans living in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth, this Sabbat is a celebration of the Vernal or Spring Equinox and the energy of the season is that of growth, renewal, rebirth and balance. This Sabbat goes by many names such as Ostara, Eostre, Alban Eilir, Festival of Trees, Lady Day, etc.

In the Southern Hemisphere, many Pagans are celebrating today as the Autumnal Equinox (a.k.a. Mabon, Alban Elfed, Harvest Home, etc.) and is a time for reaping, harvest and thanks.

No matter where you live, balance is a primary focus of this season. Day and night, light and dark, and the cycle of life, death and rebirth are contemplated and celebrated. This is a great time to understand the "tweens" or the subtle energies that are neither black nor white, good nor bad. Dichotomy and duality are understood as simple templates to understanding and knowing that which is far more rich and complex.

Plant seeds in your thoughts and lives, give thanks for the beauty that has manifested in your life, have a beautiful Sabbat celebration and many Bright Blessings to You!
