Solar Eclipse Sunday May 20th

There will be an exceptional solar eclipse on Sunday, May 20th, 2012. For viewing tips and more information, check out:

Chat Room! The chat room is installed and working! Please log in at the top right of this page if you do not see the chat in the Parlour area. You can register for the site free to open up extra features such as the Chat and Forum.

There will be scheduled discussions at a later date, but meanwhile you might run into another Member of the site if you pop into the chat. You can also use the chat room at any time you have arranged to meet with someone else.

The chat room will be the area for classroom discussion in the Academy, and where you can take your oral exam if you cannot do so my phone. You will also be able to play trivia games and just connect with others on the site during scheduled chat gatherings.

Witchcraft & Wicca Online Course! It is back and better than ever. Reconstruction and rewriting are still underway in the Academy and each lesson added has new materials and has been refined for better understanding (I hope).

Several of the introduction sections of the class are available to the public without the need to register free or become a full Member. Check it out and see if it fits your style!

The site blessing below was written by Friday in 1997 and has been slightly updated over the years, bringing us to the current 2012 version here. It is certainly not a poetic masterpiece, but it was written from the heart.

Aloud we speak the names of the ancients;
dancing spirals under bright moonlit skies.
We walk our paths with courage and joy;
we are healers, scholars, seekers, the wise.

Content with the gold sun and silver moon;
no leaders or followers will you find;
for we know true power comes from within;
Pagans each have an independent mind.

All paths are one and lead to the center;
bright blessings and peace to all who enter.

About Friday of PaganPath.com

PaganPath.com began as "Volute's Witchy Site" near Beltane (May) 1997 on asis.com servers in Northern California. At that time the site consisted of my writings from as early as 1986 along with a gardening article I had published in Circle Network News (now Circle magazine). By Samhain (November) 1997 the domain name was registered. It has always been PaganPath policy to provide original material, not copied from books or other web sites, well researched and documented, and applicable to the real world of magical and spiritual practice.

Friday (A. Minahan) is the owner and author of PaganPath.com. From 1997 to 2011 all writing and work on the site was written by A. Minahan under the pen name Volute, as a reflection of the dedication to the understanding of the spiraling fractal like web of Wyrd. Along with a new chapter of life, a new name was chosen. A. Minahan was born on a Friday, and because of this and several other reasons, the name took hold as if by magic one day.

Friday was dedicated in the fall of 1987 after a few years of study and practice, particularly in the areas of rock, gem, crystal and mineral works such as healing and protection. Two years later Friday was initiated and interests in Tarot, divination, wortcunning and herbal practices rounded out the focus of studies. In 1993 Friday became a professional psychic reader and was dedicated to counseling and service. Thirteen years later and after tens of thousands of readings for people all over the world, primarily North America and Canada, Friday now reads and counsels locally for a few regular clients, and occasionally offers readings to members of PaganPath.

Site Update: 23 March 2012

The PaganPath Almanac is gradually being populated with the Sabbat and Esbat dates for the next few months. Occasionally "energies" of a day are also added if there is a psychic pull to include a note. The Links area has a few new treasures and tomorrow the beginning of the Stones & Crystals area of the Library will begin with Amethyst. The amethyst article is not yet complete but will be soon.

The Courtyard and Sub Rosa are two areas of the PaganPath Forum^* found here.

The Courtyard is intended for general discussion on Paganism, magic(k), Wicca, Witchcraft, the occult, herbs, gardening, practical applications of your spiritual path, or just connecting with other like minded folk. Discussions should be kept appropriate for general audiences.

The Courtyard can be read by the public, but only registered Members (Free or Full) can post topics or reply to topics.

Sub Rosa^* (under the rose) is a private Forum area intended for Full Members only. Full Members are 18 years of age or older, so discussions in this area may be of a more private nature.

The Sub Rosa Forum area cannot be viewed by the public and is intended for more private discussions, meeting other Members, and questions or discussions regarding the Academy courses such as Witchcraft & Wicca, Tarot Proficiency and Herbs & Wortcunning.
