When it comes to cleansing a board, I've heard and read all kinds of things. I'm curious as to if one could use methods like a salt burial, moonlight, etc. to invoke some or all of the elements to rid the board of negative energy? Thoughts?

I have a Ouija Altar Cloth...but I've heard of burning incense on the board while chanting prayers or doing rituals on it for specific purposes....cleansing & purifying...releasing negativity...protection...perhaps this all is where the cloth came from?! Blessed be!

MM Mo,

I think the cleansing methods you describe are good for virtually anything, so in my opinion they will do the trick. My personal preference would be smudging/incense or salt water to release any residual energy from the last use. Moonlight is something I would use more to charge magical tools with positive energy, but that's all personal preference I guess. With the Ouija, I think one of the most important things to do is to say a proper farewell to whatever energy you contact and be sure it goes away on it's own accord. Also, this is something I would never use outside of a magic circle, unlike other forms of divination. drawing and breaking the circle is in itself very purifying.

BB,

Ladon

Yes...within a circle would be best...my cloth can also be used with Penulums and I have a very nice gemstone set! Blessed Be!
